Night time leg cramps

65 year old female suffering alomst every night with terrible leg cramps. What causes these pains and can anything be done about them?

Her GP will prescribe Quinine tabs.

Quinine is worse than useless for severe, regular cramps

One prescription medication that does work is Clonazepam

I haven`t had bad cramps for 3yrs since taking them regularly at nightime.

isnibs.....go to your GP..........he will send a blood test to exclude under active thyroid gland, make sure that you are not dehydrated and yes Quinine will help.
