Hi all...I've been feeling very ill lately and can't seem to get to the bottom of it.
Yesterday evening I felt so bad my wife and daughter took me to Out of Hours doctor and he said it's a form of Maigraine and just let it take it's course.
I've had this 3 times in the last month and it lasts around 3 days.
Symptoms: It starts with having a huge increase in the sense of smell.
I then start feeling very nausia and can't eat or drink anything.
Second day I spend all day at the sink trying to be sick.
Third day after haviing no sleep, food or drink I feel I so ill I would could die.
I then start feeling better and on the 4th day wonder what all the fuzz was about but dread it starting all over again.
It's making life hell me and my family and feel so sorry for them having to put up with me during this illness.
Any helpful comment would be appriciated. Thanks

An increase or difference with your sense of smell is very common amongst migraine sufferers as is nausia following this. You can get a migraine without a headache called a silent migraine. It sounds very much to me as if the doctor is right. Next time you get the enhanced sense of smell, take a Migralieve immediately. This may well lessen the migraine and stop...

This is indeed an odd story and migraine would not be the first thing that came to mind.
My opinion.......see your GP and he may refer your wife to an ENT surgeon or a Neurologist.
