I have Sickle Cell Anemia, which I was born with. Since 2005, I ended up having Hyperthyroid. At one stage the doctors were suggesting giving me Iodine solution, to burn away some of the gland. This I never took but I would like to know if it would of affected the Sickle Cell?

I can see no reason at all, why a patient with sickle cell anaemia should have any problems with radioactive iodine in the treatment of hyperthyroidism.
