Went to my dentist last Tuesday week ago with a painful crown. The tooth stump underneath (he said was infected) so gave me penicillin and a mouth wash. However next time he wants to take out stump and drill next "good - my own" tooth down to make a bridge for the two crowns. He has also said he does not do sedation ie twilight sleep any more (they are not allowed by NHS)!!!! He said no dentist in the whole of Northern Ireland are not allowed to use sedation - however I have just found out that he has been lying as I have gone through Belfast dentists and one of my colleagues is actually having sedation this morning for her teeth - I am an extremely nervous person at the dentist and am very upset with his lying. I do not know where to turn for a kind caring dentist. They were originally were all for nervous patients some years ago but it is all about money. I am supposed to be going back for this other treatment but will now have to look out for another dentist who will help nervous patients.
