Dentist problems
3 Answers
Hi all,
I had a filling put in about 16 months ago, which at the time I didn't think was that well done... and the other day it fell out, leaving a sharp and ragged tooth underneath.
My last check-up was six months ago, and no problems were highlighted then.
I'm just wondering where I stand - I would have expected a filling to have lasted a lot longer than that. What are the dentist's responsibilities in this situation - if this now needs a crown or an extraction, I'm not really going to be happy paying for the former or losing the latter.
Any thoughts welcome!

I think you need to make an appt asap before the tooth breaks and tell your dentist about your disappointment calmly, even if you don't feel calm! :o) Hopefully they may just agree to re-do it.
