If an elderly relative died at home during the night, who would you ring?

I don't mean family, i mean doctors/hospital, etc?

The doctors will obviously be shut & it obviously won't be a 999 emergency.

Ed...how about some consistency in selecting threads to delete.

As a matter of fact. i don't think the thread should have been deleted as it was a contentious topic for debate, however. less contentious topics have not been allowed to continue e.g anti Racial threads.

You would like to calm down th reaction to the withdrawal of threads and the role of moderators and this is a classic example of how not to reassure ABers.

Yep Prudie....he's p1ssed on our grief and dismissed the brave people who tried their very hardest to fight illness.
the problem with Chris's view that everyone should be encouraged to kill themselves, in order to ensure survival of the fittest, is that the survivors would be in fact the ones that refused to take his advice. I propose joining them. (But if old and stricken with a painful , incurable and deadly illness, I may change my mind.)
I've just called into this thread too this morning and am shocked to find it still here.

There are no excuses, its not about whether or not it offends, or about us having different views, its about being irresponsible. Poor Beechy's thread has turned into a nightmare.

One rule for one and one rule for another doesn't work for me.

Absolutely ummmm, it's made me quite upset to think about it. Chris must be very positive in outlook to think his death will be something he will choose to do rather than have it unwelcomingly thrust upon him.

well, I think Chris is wrong, but I can't see any reason to ban him or his views.
jno....exactly....then why suspend other ABers for less contentious viees.

Ed has to review the moderators.
^^^^views.
most people don't get suspended for their contentious viees <sic> they get suspended for the way they express those views.
well he upset and offended a lot of people with the way he expressed those views.
Chuck...then the makes the role of moderators even more contentious.
I can't believe this thread is still going and that buenchicos comment is still there on page two! Ed must of gone away for the May bank holiday... Oh no wait, didn't he remove the duplicate posts yesterday? Yeah thought so!

Morning all.

If someone can't be completely honest in Body & Soul, where can they be on this site?

Thread will be closed shortly.
