If you're the person who's gonna be wearing them, then I suggest you try them on first and see how they look on you. But as long as you're comfortable in what you wear, that's all that matters.

On a sidenote I think colour and material might matter too, but you can wear whatever you want and no one should be able to stop you. (all of this within reason, of course.) All you need is confidence and then it doesn't matter what you wear. :)

i dont think its about what u wear that makes u look like a tart, i think its about how u present urself and how u act. if ur flingin urself over every man u see then yes, u would look like a tart, where as if u were mature and sophisticated then no u would look good.

I think its fine to wear this unless you are also wearing it with a very low cut top or crop top.

 

Show off your legs, your tum or your cleavage, all three would look tarty!

I think they look good as long as they are not knee length or thigh high boots, I personally think that looks a bit tarty but the cute ugg boots and those types look good I think.

Depends on the boots.  I wear short skirts with boots all the time but they're big biker boots, not pointy-toed high-heeled ones.  Also I always wear tights, I think without they can look tarty.

It's a very 60's / 70's thing - not tarty.
Looks good on thr young with good legs.

I don't think it necessarily looks tarty. With good legs, a tan suede skirt and matching mid-calf boots can look very good. But who am I to give fashion advice, who always wears jeans?!

i think it all depends on whos wearing it. Some girls just have a tarty look even if they are covered up. Jordon in high heel boots and short skirt would look tarty where as if Sienna Miller wore the exact same thing she would be seen as stylish. girls who are naturally pretty, don't need much makeup and skinny tend to get away with a lot more.
