At least if you improve your blood flow tto the important places it helps if not there are no natural remedies that have been properly tested in research trial.... As for the actual drive...they do say the more you get the more you want.... and if that fails get your testodterone levels checked by your Gp
Amaltman there are many around. Some work for others and others don't so it's a try it and see what works for you situation. The one's I know of that work are 1-Horny goatweed. 2-Maca. 3-Tongat Ali. 4-Mucuna Pruriens. 5- Tribulus Terrestris. 6-Ginko biloba. 7-l-Arginine ethyl ester. 8-Zinc is important to males! Gingko improves blood flow to brain and l-Arginie will improve the blood flow to where you need it. The rest have different actions which you can research and decide which ones you may need. I've tried Horny goatweed and tribulus terrestris and they work. These are mainly available for Holland and barrett whose prices and ingredient profile are second to none although I do know of one or two other online suppliers. Sometimes low libido happens because of age and flagging testosterone and rising estrogen levels which I suspect is the case or maybe you are on some form of medication? Consult your gp to see whether these are safe for you to take before purchasing any of them and after researching what suits you I will be glad to offer any further advice. Good luck and remember a low libido is not for life thanks to the herbs and vitamins available to us!
Sqad with all due respect many scientific trials are funded by large pharmaceutical industries whose main agenda is trying to stop the little independent herbalist companies from muscling in on their patch as it were. Many gp's have been dumbfounded when prescription after prescription of branded pharma meds offer no relief to the person with a problem and the person tries something a little unorthadox and finds exactly the results they wanted. This is never explained and is sometimes put down to the placebo affect and swept under the rug. There are thousands if not hundreds of thousands if not millions of people finding results and relief in non pharmaceutical methods and not everything can be explained by a scientific study. Like I said to amaltman47 do some research and maybe go to forums where people have had results and get real information by real people who are happy and not always trust faceless multi billion dollar corporations with hidden agendas.
Apart from diabetes and old age I reckon it is a lot to do with your mind. Young men can lose their libido as well, don't forget. Try relaxing, watching naughty videos, forget your troubles, including loss of libido. You are worrying too much which makes it worse (in my opinion). Relax, go with the flow, if you think it will help you take Sandy's Horny goat's weed (the name is suggestive enough). Above all don't let it take over your life and it will come back, with a bit of luck.
I actually mentioned Horny goatweed starbuck thanks for reading my post. I'm sure your kind words are meant with the greatest kindness but you have to understand the biomechanics of the human body and if amaltmans loss of libido is caused by age which I think it is then you have too understand that age flagging testosterone and androgen levels and rising estrogen levels affect all males and a it takes more than luck to improve them hence my list of certain herbs that have been tried and tested by many to improve libido. Do a little research on declining libido as we get older as it's quite an interesting read.

I don't see it that way, i see it that these "properly conducted" therapeutic trials are to stop drugs with no proven value and unreported side effects from getting on the market at the expense both financial and physical of a gullible public, of which we have a plentiful supply.

I have never met any that have been "dumbfounded" and the benefits may have nothing to do with the taking of "alternatives" but due to the fact that the diseased process has come to an end.
"Horney Goat Weed"....does that really need an explanation.
If after scientific studies have shown no value in these "supplements" the public still purchase them then that is their choice and i wouldn't cast further aspersions.

I'm glad to see I got a such a varied response to my and many other peoples problem. I also enjoyed the humorous suggestions. I hope more answers and solutions keep coming (ignore the pun). Its a really good looking woman who works in our holland and barrett. I would love to see her face when I ask for some horny goatweed...which I might do yet. I will also get the doctor to check my testosterone level.
Thank you for all your suggestions so far and if something unusal works for you, why not let me know and all who are reading these threads.
Thank you.

I have also heard that too, Wrongn3mber. .... That just because the smaller companies can't afford the cost of the exorbitant trials that Smith Klein Beeecham etc can, it doesn't mean their remedies don't work. There was a programme about it that convinced me, it may've been Horizon. And for that reason I give the smaller companies a chance.
