only when i breathe deeply. i mean a very sharp pain - enough to dtop me in my tracks!
I have had it before, years ago and it passed. This is going too now. I've had it about an hour or so. shallow breathing is ok, but when I forgot and yawned, it was very painful!
Wjay could it be?
Crisgal - I've had that off and on for about forty years - almost as though I couldn't 'get over' the big breathe and settle things. don't think it's serious cos I'm a hundred and plenty years old, have just had a thorough check up for an op and feel fine. Relax
Sounds like a knotted muscle to me. I'm suffering from a similar thing at the moment (back spasms) the solutions seems to include: rest, gentle stretches and mild excercise, ibuprofen etc. If you can bear it, breathing RIGHT in past the point of pain may make it 'click' and then stop - I've done that before.
It sounds like you may have either strained a chest muscle or 'pinged' one of the nerves in the chest wall. If the pain continues you should take some ibuprofen.
cheer all. it's totally gone now. I didn't dare move or get up which only made it worse i think.
Once i walked about a bit it seemed to ease.
I googled the symptoms and then quickly closed the windows that appeared!
I'd rather trust you guys any day!
That sounds like something I get every now and again. If you 'bite the bullet' and take a deep breath, after the pain, has the problem gone away ? I usually find that one can take ages shallow breathing waiting for it to subside, or have one deep breath, say "OW !" and then be ok.
