eyesight

I have been suffering from double vision (diplopia) since last October. I have a temporary prism on my glasses but this only helps when I am wearing them. I have been told to wait a year and see what happens.

It's driving me mad. Is/has anyone else suffered from this and what was the outcome?

my boss at work suffered from this.  So went to Canada a little over a year ago and she caught a virus which in effect brought on the double and blurred vision.  She too had to wear a prism on her glasses which helped a lot.  Do you have Bupa?  Maybe going to see someone privately might be able to help me more.  You shouldn't have to wait a year, my boss wasn't told that.  She no longer have double vision but she does tend to have a little blurred vision from time to time.
