i went to a party last nught and the dj was terrible!
We were quite close to the enormous, clapped out speaker he was using. It didn't work properly and was turned up excruciatingly loud. I came home with my ears ringing and they are still the same now.
Is there anything i can do to alleviate the awful drone in my head? I can't hear properly, everything is slightly muffled!
thanks sqad, i was hoping you were close by. I went to many many rock concerts when younger, but the ringing never stayed umntil the next day!
I s'pose it's 'cus i'm a lot older now :(
I have tinnitus which I think was caused by a very loud noise from a burglar
alarm I was installing.I was very close to the alarm because it didnt work first
time.I should have worn ear muffs. The good news is that it got a lot better
in time and now I hardly notice it.I hope it happens in your case.------James
Should have booked me then!...lol
I always set up my speakers up higher than ear level so as not to blast any ones ears that are close by
what was the name of the dj?.....i might know him...lol
Tinnitus, that rings a bell! How many of us have this unbearable condition? I am told that 1 in 5 of us do, but there is no cure for it. Mine come over 2 1/2 years ago, but seems to be getting worse.
I have Tinnitis also. One side is getting to sound like a whistle. Its B. awful. Not quite so noticable if you are in a crowd, but it's when you are on your own its worse. I saw the Hospital ENT consultant, and the hearing aid people. Sometimes it is possible to ignore the noise, but not always.
my mum has tinnitus too, she's suffered with it for years. it's a terrible thing isn't it? My ringing is still there but hopefully gone tomorrow.
My step mum also has tinnitus, but (and how sad is this?) she's completely deaf! She has two cohclea implants, but when she takes off the receiver thingy at night, to sleep, all she hears is the tinnitus.
Ringing ears are rather annoying but it will be gone in a day or two. I've read that listening to a certain sound helps relieve chronic tinnitus, especially when trying to sleep. Well, at least that's what calmradio.com claims. So far, I've tried their sleep channel and I'm out like a light in no time!
