I'm very nervous about making a good impression,what can I say to do this?I know,to be myself but if I am I tend to put my foot in it or be loud.what do people like about someone generally so as to want to see them again maybe?

the thing that puts me of about people, is people that talk too much and everythingis about them. Its great to be able to have a two sided conversation

Don't try to impress. Relax and act natural. Say what ever comes into your mind and have the confidence to back you comments up. Don't aspire to something you're not. Give them you and be honest. Enough said.
