i was wondering, is there any types or an actual food that makes you feel good, gives you the feel food factor as people might call it. in the evening, usually about 8 i start to feel a bit low, and depressed, i had it before and it jsut passed, but this seems to go on forever now, so what im asking is is there any type of food or drink that i could have in the evening to keep me feeling happier and not so low and down. i know thi sosunds silyl but its worth a try though ey. thanx alot

chocolate. acts on serotonin. or go for a run.
as above, chocolate, but it does make you put on weight!

ah...the long dark teatime of the soul ^_^ I hate sunday nights too.

Maybe it's just your blood sugar level going down.  I get really grouchy and low if I don't have something to eat after a few hours, I don't have to be hungry.  Maybe try just having a cup of tea or a light snack like a few biscuits or something, see if that helps.

A glass of red wine and chocolate....
Avoid chocolate!!! It may make you feel fantastic at first but your blood sugar level will drop and you will feel even worse. sounds like you need sugar- so the type you get from fruit is much longer lasting and healthier. how about a cup of tea and a banana or something? It will give you the energy you require without a drop afterwards, and won't make you fat!

Try a bottle of vodka...Always cheers me up !
Any type of carbohydrate especielly pasta will boost your seritonin levels and will make you feel relaxed. also decent chocolate with  high cocoa solids.Alcahol is actually a depresent so best avoided.
Porridge, it encourages your body to produce more seratonin which makes you feel happier

Personally I agree with previous post - a cup of tea and a banana.

Bananas are well known for giving energy and positivity. Actors and dancers carry them for snacks.

Also, have you tried doing something simple but creative at this time? I have just bought a cross-stitch set on the advice of my therapist and it does work (in front of the telly).

x

vodka! im nearly 15!! hehe ah well mayb wen im older ;) hehe thanx again xx

I found that when my hormones go on the rampage, and i want chocolate, but know i'll regret it, i eat strawberries.

Any nice bright sweet- or more acidic fruit, whatever you prefer.  The time it takes to prepare it, lay it out nicely etc is quite theraputic. Plus then you get to eat it all!

Let me know if it works.
