I normally go the Filmhouse in Edinburgh. It has the advantage that the people who go there are mostly interested in the films and there is not a lot of audience chatter.
One thing I have noticed is that the film sound track seems to be played a lot louder these days.

Hi, just got back from the cinema and it wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. Once I got into the film I blocked everything and everybody else out around me. The film was great and the Officer in the film - Officer Rhodes, well put it this way, I wouldn't kick him out of bed! ;-) I shall be going again in the future, to watch films alone, unless of course I find a gent to escort me or some friends who want to go to! x
