Ah how much more famous and loved Ms Winehouse will become now!

The bandying around of words and phrases such as 'tragedy' 'how sad' 'what a waste of such a young life' makes me pmsl at the fickleness of the human spirit.

It was only a few weeks ago that peeps were taking pleasure in posting/commenting all over the web (incl here) about AW's drink/drug addled performance in Belgrade in June but now that she has popped her proverbial clogs it's all ~ What a waste! Such a loss of talent! And so young!

Yadda, yadda, yadda!

This from the same people who were booing and laughing at her then are now crying into their hankies bemoaning her loss. Disgusting hypocrites the lot of them!

I think yo are flogging a dead horse here miss. The issue was about the media frenzy & the hypocracy it conjures up, to feed the frenzied readership who can also be guilty of the same.

Nobody is denying that the death was unfortunate, nor are they gloating about it.
However, people have turned into a Winehouse campaign with their own emotions becdause...

no respect for the dead at all, then?
it is bad karma to speak ill of the dead.

i should know.
Just because someone comments on her drunken behaviour doesn't mean that they would be happy to see her die..!!

I think this post says much more about you than anyone else....

How is it hypocritical? Please explain...

Ummm I'd be interested to read just what you think it says about me?

And where did I say that people would be happy to see her die?

I've took this for what it is. A dig at the hypocrasy shown, and I make the comment right. It's not about Amy.

the joy in the tone of the post horrifies me.

someone's happy!

so missnemesis this is not a

'tragedy'

and not a

'waste of a life'

then ?

At no point in my post did I type what I think/thought about Ms Winehouse's demise. My comment was regarding people's response to it.

At least Steve and Postdog took the time read what was actually written and not what others have read into it so thanks guys.
You're laughing at peoples reaction to the death of a 27 year old woman.

She was shown drunk on stage...of course people are going to comment on that. Just because they did doesn't mean that it's not a sad waste of life and talent.

sara3 Pray tell where is the JOY in the tone? And how can you tell the 'tone' of something you haven't heard?
I think the "tragedy" and sadness people feel at the death isnt fickle, I think that people feel sad that her addictions beat her in the end, the talk of a lost talent is about the person she was before the drugs and drink took hold of her.

most of us were probably hoping that she would beat these demons and be the person she was, the talented one.
I read your post....twice....and also agree with what Sara said.

perhaps it was the thought of you pmsl'ing when people reflected on the tragedy and waste of life.
