Small holes in upper ears

I was born with small holes in upper ear. I'm curious of what they are. Does anyone know about these holes. I viewed some comments about not going closer to the water. But I'm 26 and have been swimming all my life, so drowning is out of the subject. Also, I was told that people with these holes have special abilities and powers. If so, what kind? I do believe in GOD and archangels, but, where do people get such an idea? Please respond.

What is this "ear" question all about then? I am not sure I can picture this but it would help if you could post of picture of your ears and then we could see what the fuss was about.
