does anyone know if you can fly on airplane with a perforated eardrum, i had one a while ago and i thought it had healed but it seems to of happened again...anything i can do to speed healing up? go on holiday in 24 days,if i do still have it will it be painful to fly?
If you have very recently perforated an eardrum you can fly because the pressure can equalise through the hole. If it`s starting to heal and you fly, the pressure differential will rupture it again. Are you sure it was perforated and are you sure it has perforated again? I would give about 3 weeks minimum before flying again and you will be close to that. Get a health professional to look at it with an otoscope before you go flying.
