alternative to sugar

I have decided to cut out sugar from my diet which will probably not be easy as it is in most of the foods we eat and drink. Does anyone have a good alternative that I can use in my morning coffee?

One of my favourite natural products is Agave Nectar. Is honey-coloured and similar in texture but is just as sweet as sugar :)

Years ago, I read an article that claimed cutting out sugar was extremely easy to do. The argument being that unlike (for example) giving up smoking or snacking, it is a positive rather than a negative act. That is to say that each time you have a cup of tea or coffee without sugar, you are reinforcing the process.
At the end of the day you can say "I had 6 coffees without sugar", whereas saying "I didn't eat 6 sweets today" is meaningless.
I decided to test it (not because I wanted to give up, but purely out of curiosity) and sure enough, it took about 3 days for me to completely lose the desire for sugar in my drinks. On the other hand, I've spent (literally) thousands of pounds over the years on trying to stop smoking, and failed miserably.
If you want to cut out sugar, just cut it out - you'll be surprised how easy it is.

Actually you can get used to coffee without sugar. I always used to drink tea without sugar and still do and couldn't drink it any other way. I couldn't drink coffee without sugar though but after some time I started to cut down on the amount I was putting in the coffee until I cut it out altogether and now no sugar at all, not even on cereal in the morning. Amazing what you can get used to because the more you have the more you want and it also works the opposite, the less you have the less you want - it really can be that simple...just try it but slowly.
