It's really hard to say how your body will adjust to comingoff the pill, sometimes it's instant and sometimes it takes 3-6 months or more. If I were you I'd still try because obviously you'll ovulate before your next period arrives it's just that unfortunately you can't predict when it will be. You could try Agnus Castus supplements and Evening Primrose Oil to try and kick start your cycle. Good luck!

Keeping a temperature chart will help you to tell if you are ovulating. Just keep a thermometer by your bedside, take your temperature first thing every morning & mark it on a piece of graph paper. If I remember rightly, your temperature goes up a little when you do - but check it out on one of the many "get pregnant/don't get pregnant" sites.

did you just STOP taking the pill abruptly... as in, in the middle of the pack?? Or did you finish a pack completely?

If you just stopped on a whim in the middle of a pack... you'll have to start taking the pill again, and finish a complete pack. Hopefully... your period should come shortly after finshing the pack, and that should restart your normal cycle.

If you DID do this anyway... then you may want to take a pregnancy test just in case.... and aside from that... wait perhaps for another 2 to 3 months before consulting your GP.

thank you all for your answers and yes i finished the packet before i stopped thanks

Try not to worry too much about it.

I had a break from the pill a couple of years ago, and it took me 7 months to have another period. The thing was I couldnt enjoy the freedom as I was so worried that I could be pregnant the whole time. 3 tests later and I was still worried.

Be prepared for it to suddenly come when it does come.
