I'm sitting here puffing away and was wondering just how many of my fellow AB'ers smoke. The poll starts here, do you smoke ?

No - never have, never will.

Sorry smokers, I just can't stand the smell.

Yes I have just started again after 4 months quit and using those wierd anti-smoking tablets Zyban, which worked.  It took just one puff of a marlboro light and it appears I am back where I started. I hate it but have to say there is nothing nicer than a bottle of becks and a ciggie!!
not anymore - I used to smoke, but gave up years ago
yes i have to admit that i smoke. i also roll my own usually samson, but sometimes buy duty free from the polish i work with, buying them out of shops is 2 expensive. i keep on sayin im gonna quit, maybe nx week!!
Im another that hasn't tried it. None of my friends got into it really, so wasn't surrounded by smokers!

Used to smoke 20-30 a day, gave up 11 years ago.

As a former smoker I am shocked to think how badly I must have smelled and have to admit that the smell of it on my children after they visited their grandparents made me want to vomit.

As someone who works in a hospital Operating Theatre I see the effects of smoking.  Just glad I stopped when I did!

Not me, I've enough bad habits as it is.
I gave up 21yrs ago and still want one!!!!
No don't smoke, only secondary!
No.  Tried it once when I was very young and it was awful!  Hate the smell of it on peoples breath and clothing.
I don't, I quite like my body being free of disease, not smelling and not inflicting the nastiness of it on other people.
I smoked about 15 a day between the ages of 17 and 28 then one day (it was National Non Smoking Week in March, 1992) I quit cold turkey.  I used to smoke Merit which were becoming increasingly difficult to find in this country.  For years afterwards the slightest whiff of smoke gave me severe migraines and nausea;  I still get headaches if I smell cigarette smoke now but it is not so severe nowadays.
Yes.  Anything I can get my hands on.

does/did anyone else play the health warning game? coming out of the newsagents' on the way to a club & seeing who got the best one, and who can come up with a "so does...." remark.

my personal favourite was "smoking decreases fertility and damages your sperm... just like riding a bike"

No nasty smelly killer tobacco for me. Formed a rather jokey "Anti Tobacco League" with schoolmates as a teenager when it was very much against the majority. I really disliked the smell and even then (1960s) we knew about the health dangers!
No, and very pleased I don't too, at the price they are now

I'm down to a cigar with a pint, and the odd herbal.

I'm a non-smoker. Have tried a few cigarettes just for fun, but have never really been what you call a "smoker".

All you non-Smokers who go up to smokers smelling their breath at close range,um very Strange!!
