A friend and I was chatting and she told me that her husband stands up to wipe himself when he's done a number two. I'd never heard of this before and was wondering if anyone else does this?

Is it only a male thing ? And why do you do it?

i think this is hilarious! i also agree with morello but as a girl do the front to back thing for hygiene reasons. And morello well done to you for raising the "cheeks" issue, that was the first thing i thought of! I am laughing so hard at all this & trying to look busy/professional at the same time! Har de har :-)

sitting down, front to back. My brother stands up and I found it quite weird when I found out (didn't watch btw, we had a family discussion, I'm not that twisted)

I had no idea that there were so many "standers" amongst us.

What I do find funny though is that people can get embarrassed about a question like this. Going to the toilet is something we all do, it's a bodily function and it's good to be open about things. But each to their own.

Sitting down on the toilet is clearly superior to standing.
By sitting the cheeks spread providing clear access to
all surfaces allowing you to clean the area thoroughly.
I myself (male) reach through the front and wipe
back to front.
