I have a wart growing on the corner of my thumb where skin meets nail. Had it for a year and been using extra strength Bazuka gel. I put the suff on then fe it down but it doesn't seem to be getting any better after about 9 months gel use.

Any suggestions ?

Go to your GP, the nurse or doc will put some cold stuff on it to get rid.
Alternatively, they might diagnose (sp?) a different type of infection and give the proper treatment.
Can only give you my experience. When my son was small he had a couple of hand warts that wouldn't go away. I applied neat tea tree oil, and although it made the site rather red, I applied it daily, within 10 days warts started to disappear and then go completely. Tea tree is anti-viral so might be some scientific basis.

Believe it or not!
banana skin cured my daughter! (under a plaster) xx
I agree with albaqwerty.
the cold stuff didnt work with me and plus it really hurts u should put some lemon juice on a plaster and put it on the wart as it draws it out
When I was about 11 years old I got rid of one by sandpapering it off. It never returned
Yeah I would go to the doctor as Alba and Sqad habe suggested. They usually have a wart clinic once a week (mine does anyway) and it's free! lol :)
I had a wart for years, bazuka didn't help at all!.....then quite by accident I found that Jif cream cleaner really irritated it, it itched like crazy!....and as I'd heard that irritating a wart will make it go away, ! applied a tiny drop to the wart twice a day, and within a couple of weeks it had gone, and has nevr returned!.....so maybe try to find something that irritates it!.....
My daughter had a large plantar wart that would not respond to any treatment. Then we heard about using ultrasound.

It was hard to convince someone to try it but it began working from the first treatment. After several treatments it literally fell out of a big hole in left behind in the sole of her foot and never returned.
