I was just watching Jeremy Kyle where a woman was accusing her man of cheating and she said if the lie detector results show he hasn't cheated then she'll get on her hands and knees to appologise to which Jeremy told her "No, you should never do that for any man"

Jeremy always seems to tell men to get on their hands and knees in similar shows where the roles are reversed.

Do you think he was displaying the "Protective" male role by doing this or was he wrong for telling her no but then telling every man to get on his knees and telling the women to make the man pay by buying jewellry and handbags?

Bednobs i've seen the whole audience urging men to "pay" and get on their knees, but when a woman wanted to there was like a gasp of horror.
We're not all weak and need protecting and wasn't that slightly sexist?

Well, given the very nature of this tawdry show, I don't think it's possible to extrapolate that whatever goes on in any way reflects what does, or ought to, go on in the real world...

Was it sexist? Possibly.
But the greater part of my initial response remains. Using the JK show as a barometer of '-ists' is a pointless exercise.

Yes of course it was sexist but he's sexist equally. I've seen him be just as bad to the women who say "150% sure it's his baby!" then it turns out not to be.
(Not that I watch JK of course)
And I was being flippant because I don't really care about him and his opinions. How dare he tell ANYONE to get down on their hands and knees, man or woman.
I still say switch over.

He's a ghastly imbecile who involves himself in other people's private lives and takes sides publicly when he knows next to nothing about them, yes he's sexist and utterly mornic- vote with your feet and don't watch the rubbish, then hopefully his show will get cancelled and he'll disappear off into the oblivion he so richly deserves.
