That I'm asking my flatmate to leave on the grounds that she smokes on nights out, causing her room and the area outside her room to smell of smoke. After she lied and said she didn;t during the viewing when i said the room is abserlotly no smoking?

This means you only have to give her reasonable notice to leave, and a week is often deemed sufficient. So if you want rid of her you don't have to wait long.
you sound unreasonable. you have no rights to dictate when she cleans her floor or oversee her toilet habits... id like to know how exactly you know this... you must be a snoop
one of the biggest causes of conflict in this world is some peoples inability to accept that other people are not like them, have different ideas, values and ways - and thats perfectly ok. they feel that anyone who does things differently or doesnt feel the same way as them about everything, means they are wrong, and are bad people
who made up all these unwritten rules? YOU in this case, but they are unwritten for a reason...because they are unreasonable and intolerant.

i know this as the you can hear the water running from the pipes whenever any one uses the shower or sink. And how would being a snoop enable me to know weather she does wash her hands or not? And i'm sorry but i think not washing your hands after going to the toilet is just disgusting, especially if your a lady and it's your time of the month and your sharing cooking equipment with someone else.
I have been suffering from a bad back for years now due to always having manual jobs and large breasts which i'm having a nightmare to get reduced on the NHS as all they're money is probably being spent on helping people with smoking related problems. Because of this i have to do exercises every day, including some laying on the floor so yes i would like her floor cleaned more than every month so i'm not laying in all the bits she treads around the house.
Yes i know i'm a little OCD but if i'm honest with you i think it's better to be like that than live in a Sugar hole.

ow, really? i do kinda know that i do have a little bit of a problem when it comes to things like this, maybe i should talk to my doctor about it. But does it really not gross people out when people don;t wash they're hands when they go to the toilet? dam thing
thankyou for putting it in a nice way though nox

ooh-la-la You are you and your flatmate is not the same as you.I don't like people smoking full stop. I don't like people not washing their hands when they've been to the loo.Everybody is different and we don't all have the same standards. If you are unhappy about your flatmate for whatever reason then you should ask her to leave. It must be difficult when chooses a lodger or flatmate and I do sympathise, but if you need someone to share the rent you may not always get someone who lives up to your standards.
it may be gross, but its still not your place to expect her to change to suit you - its up to her... your hang ups are exactly that - yours - and as for the bits she treads about - hoover yourself before you do your excercises - problem solved
i do not believe she is leaving a trail of debris behind her so you are being very OCD
and if you ask any new tennants do you wash your hand etc ... ithink you will struggle to find someone else
when living with others you must learn to accept that they are not the same as you and learn to live with their ways...or live alone...
i have lived with people like you...and it drove me mad....and the maddest thing was, on one occasion it was in MY house, and in the other we were both on equal footing -but she still felt i should be just like her and live her way...
it just led to conflict.
