Katie's Funeral in Corrie!

Recently on AB I expressed the actions of the Catholic church, it was regarding the way they refused to give my mothers friend a catholic funeral because she'd comitted suicide. I know it only a soap, but how come Katie was given a catholic funeral after not only killing her father she comitted suicide. Obviously the script writers haven't done their home work on this matter, or they must think the public are so green that wouldn,t notice their gaff. It would be a slap in the face for my mothers freind family if they saw the programm, my mother did and said and thought the same as myself. I might be over reacting, or my feeling are still raw as my husband has just recently lost his mother.  Thank you for taking time to read this. God Bless

I think you'll find this is what happens in Soapland - they don't abide by the normal rules which can be upsetting and confusing.
