Red marks down below

A while back i had an ingrown hair down below, i managed to tweeze it out causing a bit of bleeding. Since then the area surrounding it has been red and quite shiny. I also cut myself with a razor while shaving at a later time and this has also left the same sort of mark :( The marks are much bigger though now than they were initially and are definitely not scars.

I have left this about a year hoping they would fade but they haven't as of yet, anyone know why they are not fading and seem bigger?

there isnt still a hair growing underneath is there, ive got this problem and it turned into a sebaceous cyst, got to have a day op on it, grrr!

if you shave down there, try using an electric one
