male circumcision, i am aware cultural/religous groups have newborn males circumcised , but it looks quite brutal! are the babies sedated prior to the procedure ? TIA
I remember my baby brother being 'done', the doctor came to our house and laid him across his knee while he did it. My brother must have been about 5 months old at the time, he wasn't sedated and I don't remember him crying. I think it was the normal thing to do in those days, for hygiene more than religious purposes.
DT, my OH is a very clean person, showers twice a day always!.....and always has!........he admits that he had pain for months before he told me!...was very traumatic, he had a penile amputation just before Xmas 1990, and then further surgery in May 1991!........he is so brave!...........
it isnt difficult ratter, I said easier, No foreskin get in shower soap up etc, foreskin, roll back, soap up, clean off, roll down again. Sorry but thats my opinion and I guess alot of docs that recomend it on young babies for cleanliness. No one is saying a man with a foreskin is dirty :-)
I'm not questioning cleanliness, WL, its just that many men do not properly feel themselves (and I am not making amusing comments about the sexual activity) and they miss possible lumps.
Glad to hear that you OH made it through.....as did my mate.
My old man did something similar with colon cancer, some discomfort and blood and the buqqer didnt say anything.....too late as a result but back then survivial rates arent what they are today.
If there is one message that can be conveyed for either sex and lumps on the sex organs (or elsewhere), it is "If in doubt, check it out!"
The doctors really do not mind checking you over.
