I used to go into chemists shops and gaze at all the boxes and look forward to the day I would go grey, and I could try out some of the colours. Now I dont look at the boxes any more as I already have a bus pass and still dont have any noticeable grey. OK, not completely true, occasionally I see one and quickly pull it out!
I am very very dark brown, some would say black. When I was about 20 I tried to bleach a streak of it, which was the fashion then. I left the bleach on in a foil covering for required amount of time. Took it off. Nothing. No change whatsoever. Decided that I was meant to be the colour I am. Still same colour it was all my life. People dont believe I dont dye it though. Cant win.
thanks, guys. can't say i remember if they stocked nutrisse, but will keep my eye out in future, esp. for sale bargains! my hair is now a relatively lovely (if not tame) shade of dark brown. at least i don't have to look at the gray - it really was quite bad. now...just gotta do my nails, sort out my make up box and pluck. then i'll be good to go for tomorrow! x
This question reminded me of when I was younger. I eventually got tired of dyeing my hair and let it grow out. I had remembered it an entirely different colour than it was. I always thought I was mid blonde and in fact my hair was quite dark. Time has passed and it is now white - my husband used to refer to 'you platinum blondes' - he was very romantic. I am glad I do not have to dye it any more, it was such a chore.
