Blackheads

How do you avoid them?

Get them on my nose but my beautician said its actually blocked pores...

I have found a few on my chin....with help of my trusty 'spot bursting stick' i have got them out... (my poor sore red face!!)

I use liz earle and cant see by her stuff i LOVE it...think im just prone to them...plus weekends i go to bed with make up on after a few gins LOL i know i shouldnt!!

I use the blackhead strips too......god i LOVE bursting them tho!!! I have savlon on my poor chin now whick ive hacked at......tut tut xx

You know what Tinkerbell I can honestly say I have never in my life looked at someone's blackheads and had a desire to sqeeze them :-)

DON'T under any circumstances squeeze them.

As the mother of a post teen, teen and pre-teen I am well qualified to squeeze blackheads, spots, boils, zits, plukes and all manner of skin eruptions. Let me at 'em.

Do you smoke Tinks...if so you will find if you stop it will get better as crud from the smoke settles in the oil of the skin making the blocked pores look blacker than they would normally nose pore cleaning strips work

I love spots too! My husband gets a subaceous cyst on his back, it's like a tiny hole and when I squeeze, a 'worm' comes out. Love it! Oh and I google spots too. I get a few blackheads on my face but prefer squeezing other people's too.
I think with us girls, it is (like someone said) the fake tan and foundation that causes ours. However, my husband gets a few blackheads on his back/shoulders. I really want to get a hat/headlamp with the brightest torch on to make sure I don't miss a single one lol.

Nurses are worse....seen some crackers...especially on old folks that haven't had a bath in ages... some were so bad and 'ripe' just a good rub with a hot wash cloth would mean you needed to wipe the wall down... and pus.....remove a stitch or two from a nice yukky wound ....(at request of surgeon of course)

Ever had an oldie with those oily brown flakes of dead skin on their legs soak well in aqueous cream and spend a pleasant few hours peeling them off...

Mmmmm love it!!!! Plaster in some 50/50 and a few swabs to "polish"
Off cellulitis!! Gently does it but the thick skin that comes off is amazing hahahaha xxx

once had a patient with hard skin on his soles that came away in two complete sheets nearly 1/4 inch thick

Miss c....id LOVE to squeeze a cyst- blisters spots whatever!!!! Ingrown hairs are so satisfying and i litetally could sit for hours like a wee monkey x

tinkerbell - is that stick you're talking about really good, only I've had two stubborn blackheads on my nose for what seems like an age and I just can't get rid of them? Those strips just don't work for me.

Oooh yum! I actually had someone who had a buildup of cream on her feet! Had just been applied and applied!!! It was coming off in big shards i didnt want to stop felt like cancelling my own lunch LOL like you all go fr lunch ill just stay here hahahahahah xxx

If your genes gives you skin that tends to create them, then you can't really avoid them. Learn to live with them. Greasier skin tends to age less quickly anyway, so there is probably an upside to them (and I don't mean the end exposed to the air).
