The general public use the time calories, but in nutrition it is more accurate to use the term kilocalorie. There are 1000 calories to 1 kilocalorie (Kcal) so when you see on the back of a product Kcal 315 per 100g, that means that there is 3150 calories per 100g. Because the public uses the term calories not kilocalories it has “315 calories per 100 gram” this is how we read it. So any food product with 315 (or any number) Kilocalories to the general public means 315 calories you do not see a product with 315 calories on the label only Kcal as nutritional it is kilocalories but we use the term calories.
The correct term is 315 Kilocalories
We use the term 315 calories.
Hope this makes sense.
