god darn insomnia! what a time to wake up. hope it's a good one for all of you. am a little bit jealous of those of you who have snow....i like it because i skip along like a 3 year old and it's the best type of weather (even though i might fall over and break my arthritic bits). bring it on! x

hi guys....yup, insomnia is a bugger. unfortunately, it's a sign of my depression getting really bad and then of course, is a vicious cycle. off to see my shrink later, so should be quite fun. still no sign of snow here (although it has been promised since yesterday) so a bit miffed. hi, wbm. long time no speak! warm wishes to you, friend. how come you are rubbing shoulders with the nobility these days? is it to do with the canal opening - and which stretch is it? lisa x

Morning Nora. I actually got some sleep last night. About 3 hours, I've been up since 3.

Hi Lisa. It's been too long! Yes, she is coming to officially open our newly restored bridge in Stroud. She is going to cut a ribbon across the entrance from our boat. The first time a boat has been on this stretch of canal for over 100 years, It requires slightly different boat handling skills, so we've been practising the last couple of days. We've got sorted now. We'll be making Perseverance, the boat, look pretty today ready for tomorrow.

An auntie of mine was awarded a BEM, mydeluded mum kept saying she had an MBE. Oh the giggling 'arguments' they had. They were women in their late 50's early 60's I was old enough to be ashamed of the pair of them lol

Complete change of subject, we went to the coast yesterday, bruvver, it was freezing. Even the mutt shivered as we took her for a walk along the beach.
