Could i have miscarried or had an ectopic pregnancy?

About a week after my period I had bled a little then it stopped. the next weeks I started pain with sex, and cramps. last week I started bleeding like a period but heavier, at one point it was a dark red with almost brown like clumps. The bleeding ended a few days ago but I still have pain in my lower abdomen especially after sex it's kind of a sharp cramping pain mostly to the left but it spreads through all my lower abdomen.
Maybe I'm just worrying but I know something hasn't been right so I called a nurse hotline and they said to go to the doctor tomorrow. Idk I am a bit young for a kid right now but i know my boyfriend supports any decision i make, i know he loves me and would be there for me completely. But if I had a miscarriage I would be so sad, that's loosing my baby and just the thought of that is really overwhelming...:(

no, well i dont think it was a period, it was just bleeding after me and my boyfriend had sex the week after my period. Then last week i started bleeding pretty heavy for about 2 days it was dark red and at sometimes clotted.

I think you need to see a doctor as soon as possible. It could be due to several things, including miscarriage or perhaps incomplete miscarriage. You need it checking out. Go today if you can, just in case you need some quick treatment.

oh sorry my last normal period ended on the 15th of February, im pretty positive i might be a day off or so.

Your last normal period ended 3 weeks ago.........you had a small bleed 2 weeks ago......1 week ago you had a heavy bleed, cramping pain, the bleeding has now stopped, but the cramping pains have persisted with some pain on intercourse.

Is that it in a nutshell?

Have you had an ectopic?...........NO
Have you had a miscarriage......extremely unlikely.........No

This is a gynaecological problem rather than an obstetric one.

My advice........give it another week and it should settle......if not, then see your GP.

One very peculiar side-effect of an ectopic pregnancy is pain in the shoulder.
But it wasn't that - not enough time for one to develop and damage the tube.
