Well Jesus was Jesus of Nazareth, and Joseph was Joseph of Nazareth, so perhaps Mary was too.  Remember that the Virgin Mary and Mary Magdalene are two different people.

Joseph, Mary's husband, was the son of Jacob. Therefore Mary's married name would have been "Mary, Wife of Joseph son of Jacob" - although it would have been in Aramaic as they didn't speak the Queen's English in those days!

There are two genealogies listed in the New Testament; one in Matthew and one In Luke.  Scholarship indicates the one in Luke, for many reasons (to lengthy to discuss here) is actually the genealogy for Mary.  Therefore, her father would have been Heli, (Eli in the Hebrew/Aramaic) and would have been referred to as Miriam bat Eli, (Miriam daughter of Eli) ..cheesefreak suggests (tongue firmly in cheek I presume) Cohen. However, the Cohenes are closely associated with the tribe of Levi which is specifically excluded as a lineage for the prohesied Massiach. (Massiah must come through the tribe of Judah). Likewise, women of the time would not, under normal circumstances, have held property, so it's unlikely, as acw suggests that she would have been associated with a geographic place before her marriage to Joseph... she could have been associated with her father's house though, who was certainly Gallilean and quite possibly Nazarene... ursula62's description would be accurate after Miriam's marriage to Yosep'... more than you wanted or needed to know, I'm sure.
