hey, im takin the contraceptive combined pill (green packet begins with M ) sorry forgot what its called, every day at 6pm, if i forgot 2 take 1 how long have i got to take it after?

if that makes sense?

You can still take it up to 12 hours from when you should have. So if you missed it at 6pm, you would have until 6am the next morning. I'm not on that type of pill, but mine say that even after the 12 hours you should take it anyway, but make sure you use protection for a few days after!!

I don't know if all combined pills are the same (I take Marvelon) but I can take mine up to 12 hours later than my usual time (which is 7am on a weekday, so in theory I have until 7pm to take it and be protected). Please check what your pill's instructions say though and speak to a pharmacist or your doctor if you have any doubt. If you do miss a pill or take one late, remember to use condoms for at least the next 7 days and if you miss a pill during days 14-21 you should go straight to the next pack and not take the 7 day break (and still use condoms for at least 7 days).  This is my knowledge based on using Marvelon so please do double check with your pill's instructions.

Before coming on here you should really look at the instrustions in the pack of pills, or search online to find the information. 

Sorry to have a go, but we get this questions a lot and it's a little annoying that a lot of the time the answers are so simple to find using Goggle, and yet the question asker doesn't consider it.

I know other readers have recommended that you use condoms for a few days after missing a pill, but to be completely safe, you should use condoms right up until you start your period!
