For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.you can have treatment for heavy periods,its a simple procedure and is treated as a day case in hospital, which in many cases will almost stop periods completely. im guessing you are seeing your GP about this, ask about treatment, good luck (cant remem name of the procedure but im sure you will find it if you google it)

ESR....how are you feeling? ill or feeling better?
PCV....how many red cells have you got knocking around?
MCV.....how big are those red cells
MCH....how much hemoglobin do they contain.
RDW....are they all the same size or what?
There you are ....now you know.....and with that information all types of anaemias can be diagnosed..........or suspected.
