If You Had A Twin, But Didn't Realise...

My right hip clicks all the time. Whenever I'm about to stand up I have to lean slightly to make it click. However when I bend down or get up, it clicks on its own a lot. It's so loud. Both click but it's mainly the right one. I've just stated getting the odd pain in it. Should I be worried? I am going to go to the docs but was wondering what it could be?
thanks

I have had it on and off , but have been free for some years.-----If there is pain with it, it means that the cartilage has probably worn thin and bone is touching bone. (this is arthritis) The answer to this is getting on to a good natural supplement of calcium as early as poss. Arthritis is a deficiency of calcium. Even tho people are eating cheese etc, this is not the best form of calcium for many peoples assimilation.----(In general Drs don't agree with these things I've mentioned).----I knew an older lady once who had severe rheumatoid arthritis, toes and fingers all curled up, great pain...She took larger doses of a natural calcium supplement and the pain completely went away. If only she had continued, but she was a bit tight on money and preferred to go back to her painful state....My little dog collapsed one day. Took her to the vet who destined her to a life of pain and suffering and an early grave. Offered me steroids and pain killers on diagnosing her with spinal arthritis. ( She couldn't walk by the way). I asked him if he thought a calcium supp would help and he rubbished the suggestion, so I refused his treatment, purchased calcium, which I gave 1 dose a day, and my pet was on her feet and happily out of pain the very next day. -----It sounds as tho You have caught this early Miss C and that is really good. Hope this has given food for thought. Have you searched in the web for info?
What about visit to an osteopath? If there is the beginnings of pain there must be a misalignment that is getting worse. Their fee is quite a lot though.
You could see your GP first, and see what he says. He can prescribe a calcium supplement, the right sort, rather than you just will-nilly taking the wrong thing. Calcium has to be taken in conjunction with the right link supplement, otherwise it is not assimilated.
But just don't leave it, will you?
I have the same problem. I found that I can stop the clicking by taking Glucosamine and Chondroitin supplements - they are major components of cartilage and act to replace any lost or damaged cartilage that could be causing the clicking.
I've been taking them for a few months but saw the benefits after about 2wks. They are available from any health food store. Hope it helps.
