Whats going on about getting a job, tinks ?.
I wonder if you are sabotaging your own sleep as you have programmed yourself to wake up wth a reward of interacting on line ... its a habit you need to break mobile off and left out of sight...
tink. did you have a sleepover at the weekend ? did you have a problem sleeping then ?

Thanks rowan i do understand ur point. Ur probobly right....xxx

Thanks all xxxx
If I was your mum I'd be hijacking your mobile and unplugging all your gadgets every night... making you a nice milky drink and putting lavender oil on your pillow until you got back into the sleep habit... regardless of how old you were... I know how sleeplessness wrecks your life when it becomes a regular thing unless you are one of the lucky ones who really only need a few hours now and again.
Tinks so sorry to hear you are still suffering, when you start with your counsellor things may well improve for you. They will teach you all kinds of techniques and while they might sound wacky, bear with them ...they work. You are doing amazing well with lots of things in your life at the mo, If you can't sleep at night , try reading , writing down things that annoy you ( helps ) sewing, or pop a music player into your ears for ten minutes. These things work to distract me and sometimes I go off again. Don't whatever you do analyse it !!! Chin up...eyelids down hopefully xx

Mabye ill buy some lavander oil today actually i used to have a looovely spray!!!!

I absolutley believe the counselling will help everything ..and mabye then theyl suggest hypno etc?? I do use meditation or guided meditation etc sometimes too and im a keen reader!!

Hopefully itl just pass...my wee body will hve to give in at somepoint!!!

Its torture when i just want an unbroken sleep. This happens even if i try to have a nap (not often i hve a nap cos i want to avoid feeling like this and i want ti make sure im sleepy at night!!!)

Ill get there though wont i!! Be employed soon hopefully- and mabye pass my driving test finally lol xxx
Have you ever had a referral to a sleep disorders clinic? That might be an option.

Never even thought about that 237!??

Mabye see what my counsellor says....im putting all my ailments down to this anxiety cr@p!!!!! Xx
It was just a thought. One of my colleagues went to one because as soon as he started to fall asleep, songs would go through his head and keep him awake.
Another story I saw was on the Discovery Health and Fitness channel. There was a man who used to get panic attacks and a terrible racing heart. He was carted off in an ambulance a few times. What they couldn`t understand was that it only ever happened at night. One day he had a visit from one of his listeners (he was a DJ) who worked in a sleep disorders clinic and he persuaded him to go in (it was the US). Turns out he had sleep apneoa and that was why it happened at night. You never know what they might uncover.

Well its panic attacks for me...
And i was waking up out a sound sleep and having them..

So i think its an "assosciation" - i might be waking up to make sure im
Ok, or sometimes scared to sleep incase i panic!! Thats all symptoms of the panic disorder i have and am waiting on counselling.

I know its all related. Doh!!!! Amazing he had sleep apnoea though wouldnt have thought so!!! Xx

Same old story tonight.... With added sore head! A cracker of a sore head....

Grrrrrr.

Just moaning xx
Association is 100% correct, and this is precisely what hypnotherapy will cure! Typically, you will be shown how to set off a trigger which will make you feel really sleepy and you will then fall asleep naturally. When you wake up in the morning, you will feel as if you have had a wonderful night's sleep, even if you haven't! Gradually, this will become the norm and you will no longer need the trigger, though it will still work if necessary.
