Seeing as you sleep as badly as me, if not worse, I think I will now have to be your big sister and keep an eye on you : )

Insomnia is awful! I suffer from it and last night went to bed at midnight (ish), couldn't get to sleep so came back downstairs at 2.30am, finally dozed off in my chair at 6.30am then was up at 9.30. :(
Thats rough daffy.
I would love to be able to sleep well tony, i've been like this for years now though so am sort of used to it, I try and nap in the day sometimes just so I can keep going.

It may explain why some of my posts can appear a bit (lot) grumpy and snappy sometimes. lol
Yep, good idea to take naps when you feel you need to, I have tried that but the foreman keeps waking me up lol.

Ive never slept properly since I had last son(aged 12) who was such a bad sleeper that he once got up 72 times in one night - I kid you not!!

Sooo I generally get to sleep about 2/3 am - am wake at 6 ish. If not working then I will get up for a couple of hours and then try to get another hours sleep. If working then i have to be up at 7 am anyway. Its a real killer!
Thats rough aswell Smow ( 72 times ! ).

yep, he was so bad we took him to a sleep clinic and I had to mark on a chart every time he got out of bed( he was about 2 at this time). Spend half the night on the stairs as only got half way down and would realise he was behind me - AGAIN! lol

Wasnt funny at the time tho!
I bet it wasn't funny Smow.
You can be my sis noooo problems hehe :0D

Im bloody tired. But i fight to stay awake.....silly....i try not to!

Going tomorrow to docs for quick checkup think ill mention it.... I have milky drinks, lavender, baths!!

Hows you anyhow xxxxx
Don't you get fed up with other people talking about how easily they get off to sleep?! I'm a life long insomniac and can seriously count the number of times I have slept through the night on the fingers of two hands. My OH is in the land of nod when his head touches the pillow, and sleeps very soundly - he didn't wake up in the storm of '87 (?). I find that since I used to do late night/early morning shifts in a previous job, my body clock is muddled in any case. I'm glad that I found AB, it's nice to chat late at night. At any rate it's quite interesting watching the Transit of Venus on the NASA website tonight.
I'm same as you Isla, 20+ years of earlies, lates and nights.......
Now I have to stay up till I am dropping off, however late that is, or I go to bed, sleep for an hour then lie awake until dawn.
Worst is...i doze for 10min then wake right up...its horrible, then i try to sleep but my mind keeps me up when im so tired!! Then i feel sleepy during the day, try not to sleep so ill sleep at night, but even daytimes im kept awake if i do try. Its definately coupled with my anxiety though for sure xx
I find that I can drop off to sleep quite easily, but then wake up and can't get back to sleep again, and have tried all the usual, like not staying in bed, or reading for a while etc, but then I'll drop off for an hour or two round 4am, but still wake up quite early too, and feel tired for the rest of the day. I try not to sleep during the day but I find that as I get older I often have a cat nap in the afternoon - I just feel my eyelids dropping and I'm out for half an hour or so!
Ive had radox bath, lavender on pillow......eyes rolling, but woke back up after minutes there. No joy xxx
