On 19th April I had a temporary filling and paid £48. Yesterday (exactly 8 weeks since it was done) it fell out.
I'm seeing the dentist this afternoon - will I have to pay again, or will it come under the "only pay once in two months" rule? Anyone any idea please?
Your dentist shouild not charge you in view of the short time elapsed since you need your tooth re-filling.
in his / her defence, sometimes fliilings do not take as they should, but that is not your responsibility, and the dentist should cover the cost of time to replacec the filling.
If he / she does attempt to charge you, refuse to pay, refer to the governing body concerned, and find another dentist!
Thanks peeps. I was eating a sandwich when it fell out. The filling was on the side of the tooth, rather than inside it, and I did suspect that it wouldn't stay put long-term. :o(
