Does anyone know the differance between a Bikini, Brazillian and Hollywood Wax?

Yes, briefly the first hurts quite a lot, the second kills and the third "aaaaarrrrgggghhhh oh my god"!!

But seriously, the 'Bikini' is as it suggests. The hair is stripped away along the inside of an imaginery line where your bikini would sit on your body. This way you shouldn't have any stray hairs sticking out where you wouldn't want them to when you wear your bikini.

The 'Brazillian' removes all the pubic hair with the exception of a small strip, usually 1cm wide, which runs vertically from your 'well you know!' to just below your bikini knicker line.

Finally the 'Hollywood' is ALL OFF - OUCH!!

Ronianna's right BUT - in my opinion - Nah - doesn't hurt that much!!!  Most professional waxers won't do a Hollywood on the first go.  If you've never been waxed you can get a Brazillian the first time, then go to Hollywod after that. 

If you're going for it - just follow EVERY INSTRUCTION they give.  Wear a long skirt and no undies to go there.  Buy some after sun or calomine lotion for afterwards.  No hot showers, saunas, jacuzzis or sunbeds for 24 hours afterwards.

That's very personal to each of us.  Each girl has her reasons.  Let's just say it's not really for the benefit of the people on the beach! ;-) (Nor is it about the "look" of it).  I hope my unsubtle answer helps!

My gf does her own Brazilian, I call it her  "landing strip" or her "pubic mohican"nIf it was up to me though I would keep her natural!.

actually, brionon's on to something, so I'm sorry if his/her remarks get deleted. Removal of pubic hair does involve some sort of infantilisation. I know, I know, there are health and beauty reasons for it, but I find something uncomfortable in the way it leaves grown women looking like little girls. Notably, not nearly so many men bother with it. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned or oversensitive in this, though.

Well yes jno, but just cos a guy likes his girl to be smooth to the touch, doesn't make him a sick and twisted criminal.  Surely, like boob size, bum size, skin colour, eye colour, (need I continue?) it's all a matter of preference.  Next we'll be hearing that all men to "claim" to like small breasted girls are actually closet homosexuals!

not for me to read your bf's mind acw. I just wonder why smooth to the touch is thought to be desirable when it's not actually natural to adults. (One possibility: as well as being the norm with children, it's also standard for porn stars.)

But I personally have never been much worried by any of the things you list - size, shape, colour and so on, or the male equivalents; I just take people as they come. In my own eyes, of course, that makes me heroically tolerant and non-judgmental. But I have to admit I may just be plain out of step at a time when body modification is normal - after all, most of the things you list can be changed to please a bf/gf. That's why I originally acknowledged I might simply be old-fashioned.

I agree with what you said, and I did get a little defensive.  I just thought Brionon's comment was fairly obvious and so in choosing to say it it implied that he also believed reverse induction worked here.   (I may be using the wrong term, but I mean that it implied that if paedophiles like smoothness, then men who like smoothness must all be paedophiles). 

I think you're right jno, with the porn star thing. 

PS - NOT a dig, but there are LOTS of unatural things that men like in women - cleavage (needs a bra really doesn't it?), make up, smooth legs, hair free underarm, nicely styled hair.  Not that you were disputing that jno! :-)
