And i don't feel cross. Just very very sad. He always does it and it's a bit of a joke( although i do find it hard to laugh inside. But this time, i think I've had enough.

You sound such a romantic soul DT <sigh>
crass! yeah gads, - sorry crisgal.
Mazie is my absolute twin..................and all my 3 had the same christian name.
perhaps Ann - hopefully thoughtful.........particularly focused by family events within, as a lot of us are.
pretty sure we were both there, Queen, but I'd have to check the photos.
Aww, have you told him how upsetting you find it?

I remember feeling really bad after a boyfriend at the time (serious, we lived together) was in an awful mood one Sunday, properly sulking. I finally got it out of him what was up with him, that I hadn't bought him an...wait for it...Easter Egg... I think that was taking things a bit far :)

Seriously though, anniversities are special, could you take to him about it?
He does love me (well I blooming well hope so, after 44 years!) but he isn't the romantic sort ........ :(
We don't do anniversaries - neither of us. I sometimes remember at the end of the day and ask him if he knows what day it is and he always says he does. It's just not that important to either of us. He always remembers my birthday though I must admit. As for silver weddings and ruby weddings etc. I would just hate a big celebration. We are a low key family!!

Cheer up Crisgal, it doesn't mean a thing and it doesn't mean he doesn't care for you. I think it is worse when a bloke remembers an anniversary only out of duty!!
Our neighbour turned up at hour house one day bearing a bottle of wine and a bunch of flowers. "What's that for" we asked.

"Happy wedding anniversary" he replied.

I looked at Mrs rojash, and she looked at me, and we burst out laughing.

We'd both forgotten.
yes, happy anniversary - if there, I would send over an (eccles or vodka-made) cake full of candles for you, crisgal, to celebrate, and a fire-extinguisher (joke). Birthdays are different as women are never older than 21!
nice one, rojash....
Aww crisgal. So sorry you are upset. Happy Anniversary and I hope you thump him for forgetting! lol ;) xx
It wouldn't bother me either.

Thank you. He forgot my first mothers day, 18 years ago, so i should know him by now. X
crisgal has been at your front cranberry cupcake, vodka - that, or was it B00?
Tsk DT, it's a red velvet cupcake.....and it was B00 no doubt! lol ;)
i think you should tell him he is a pig. mr kicker did the same thing on our 20th anniversary (we usually do cards and a small sill pressie) but he completely forgot. i do all the manual labour in our house and darn well expect a small gesture of appreciation for putting up with him. so, he ended up grovelling, taking me for a meal and a belated bunch of flowers. but i still called him a pig and am cross with him. some boys will whinge it's not important or 'it's only a card' etc.......but it is the thought that counts and ladies should be romanced once in a while to negate the rubbish that we go through in trying to guide them through life in one piece. mr kicker knows he is a pig and is still sucking up to me 2 months later. i'm not sure when i will let him off the hook.....x
You should make a joke of it too - and remind him several days before the event! Don't take it to heart - some men are just hopeless.

Ann, //Mine doesn't get me flowers for Valentines Day, says they are a rip off, prices inflated for this day (they are!) but how sad is that? //

Not sad at all. We never 'do' Valentines Day. It IS a rip off. If you really care you don't need a manufactured date to show it.
I think flowers or a gift out of the blue for no 'special day' reason are far more romatic and mean much more.
Snap Naomi!!
