To prevent build up again brush teeth twice a day and do brush the back of your teeth and every couple of days dip your toothbrush and toothpaste into bicarbonate of soda then brush.
I believe my sonic toothbrush is made by OralB. Not that anything is a total solution. I still get build up, and since I've had a dentist who does not automatically remove plaque build up without being asked, I now have unsightly marks I've not had before, despite the toothbrush. I think it is a fact of life it builds up, just need the dentist to remove excess every now & again.
