I've been done! Mind you, it would cost me a tenner round trip to drive to my nearest Asda.
I wouldn't miss mine for anything. It has kept me free of flu for years and so as long as I can I shall go on having them. It is only a quick scratch and it is done and so far I have had no ill effects at all. Anyone who has had real flu and knows how devastating it is will be glad of the opportunity of having the flu injection.
Many people who have a bad cold think, and call it flu. You have to have been there. Flu is not a couple of days off work. It is a killer.
the only year i didnt have the jab i got flu and it was awful so now i make sure i have it but i hate the aching arm the next day although its only for a day or so.
The crusties round our way having their free flu jabs are like a herd of wild elephants. If it's scheduled 2-4, you can bet your butt they're all racing each other at 2 o'clock in case they miss out on their freebies.
Victor.... What are crusties? Are you speaking of the old folk?
Nice terminology Victor.
Jeza, yes.

mamalynne, honestly, it's like a rugby scrum, nothing guaranteed to get a crustie and his/her zimmer flying along like some freebie or other.
Mamya, one could be forgiven for thinking Victor was a 'crustie'. Victor has been posting regularly since last month after some 31 months' absence from AB. So much time on the poster's hands.

Victor, has it not occured to you that a lot of the older patients may well be 'at risk'?
Hold a sign up need you are out will either get you with my walking stick or the white one , one day my lad one day....
PS Victor - I am 59 and no crusts on me.
Victor. Mic is 63 I am 62. We live on our work pensions and savings. We claim NOTHING from the state. In an earlier thread I said I paid for the flu jab. How old are you, My guess 30/40ish. your time will come. You disgust me.
oops
'Hold a sign up NEXTyou are out'

just done eye drops.

PS Victor - Flu can be a killer.

Oh, Jeza, it was a lighthearted joke, dear. Have you ever heard a joke before? lol
Victor, I am not your 'dear' nor ever likely to be.
This is 'Body and Soul' not jokes or Chatterbank
Jokes are supposed to be funny. Calling people dear is patronising.
He is not funny but would win a patronising badge - you aren't wrong there.
"I've been abroad, dear."

Dissembling again paraffin. This latest resurrection was necessitated by the bannings and/or suspensions of ahmskunnirt, OrcadianOil, Kerosene, eyethenkyew, etc.
