Ear infections
3 Answers
For the past 8 weeks i have continious ear infections in both ears, tinnitus and conductive hearing loss. Been on 3 courses of antiobiotics, nasal spray and steriod spray for the ears. Both ears are still weeping, the tinnitus is driving me round the bend. My GP sent a letter for urgent referral ENT department which was 3 weeks ago, waiting for appointment. Would anyone know how long a urgent referral to see a consultant should take.

From your description, "conductive hearing loss" I would assume that you know a bit about ear infections. A conductive hearing loss with discharging earts and tinnitus would indicate a middle ear infection in both ears.
not a big deal, bur something that needs attention.

A sympathetic GP with a sympathetic ENT Consultant should get you an urgent appointment within the week.

You should have an appointment to an audiologist within this week or next week. It should be treated before anything gets worse. My brother had an ear infection before, but he didn't pay attention to it then things got worse but now he's okay but with hearing loss. I hope you will treat it fast.
