I have now got the date for my Vitrioectomy op. Oct.25th (nx Thursday)
I will be admitted on Wednesday evening at 7pm. And will be put on an Insulin pump overnight to control my Diabetes before the op. 8.30am op.

Takes about 1 hour. I am having extensive Laser treatment to cauterise the veins at the back of the eye which are bleeding into my vision.
Will stay in overnight again and hopefully go home Friday morning 26th.

I'll let you know how I get on.

Having very narrowly avoided the need for a vitrectomy myself, having experienced a bleed behind my retina, fingers crossed for a successful operation and speedy recovery.
