Bad skin. Could it be....?

I have recently cut out all dairy products, and all carbs.
My skin (on my face) has felt really weird the past few days, like irritated and the odd little tingle.
I woke up this morning and have a face like a teenagers! Massive break-out, which is very, very unusual for me. Could it be from the change in diet, as I assumed this would have the complete opposite effect?
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can treat this, as I never gets spots, so don't really know if I can put anything on them, or should I just leave it?
I had to wear so much foundation this morning, I resembled a wax work!!
Make-up is now off, as I'm aware that won't help.

If you have stopped eating all diary and all carbs you are starving your body of essential nutrients and an important energy source, this will result in bad skin, hair, gums, teeth, bones etc. Start eating sensibly and you will feel better... There is no such thing as detox-Ing your body
I'm sure that a radical change in diet can cause the skin to react while your body is adjusting to the new regime. Dairy is not really a natural human food, so cutting it out won't do you any harm, and may even do you good if you are lactose-intolerant without knowing it. However, we do need carbs as energy fuel, so I wonder why you are doing this? It might make more sense to go for low GI carbs rather than cutting them out altogether.
there was a programme recently that said your body detoxes automatically.No need to go on special diets. I found the best thing for spots was to make my own face scrub with a small amount of fine oatmeal mixed into the palm with some lathered soap. gently rub into the skin and leave on for a few mins and then wash away and pat dry
Sorry, I should have said I am still eating fruit and vegetables, just bad carbs. Don't know why I put 'all carbs'. So yeah, crappy carbs like bread, pasta, rice, cereal, beer! All dairy. I just don't think my body reacts well to these, and I want to be healthier. I do actually feel much, much better, and I'm sleeping really well too - which is unusual for me.

Sqaud, thanks for the advice, but it's definitely not that. It's definitely a breakout of spots :(

Hi -if you cut out ALL carbs then you will become ill -why are you cutting out all carbs? yes you can do without Dairy (we are the only adult mammals that see to think we need milk after weaning) as long as you can get calcium and vitamin D from other sources - legumes mainly but these are full of -yes -Carbs. I don't prescribe to the 'detoxification through your skin theory -your liver does a pretty good job of that without necessitating another organ. You more than likely have Rosacea.
I stopped eating 'bad' carbs about 18 months ago-this meant no pasta,or sugary foods or processed junk...and very little rice. Also-no wheat. Now-if I eat bread,biscuits or other wheat based,high sugar foods-my ezcema acts up.
It's the processed carbs we don't need,along with wheat-humans only started eating wheat relatively recently in our evolution. And todays wheat bears no resemblance to the wheat of 2-3 generations ago.
Plus-both wheat and sugar have been shown to trigger similar brain and physical responses as addictive drugs
