Working Out How Many Weeks Pregnant...

I'm trying to work out how many weeks pregnant I am and my due date- I have used various websites and they range from 5 - 7 weeks and 2nd Aug-7th Aug! How do doctors work it out?

When was the first day of your last period?

doctors ask you, as meglet has done when the first day of your last period was. This weirdly is counted as day 1 of pregnancy, so they work it out from there, maybe making an adjustment at the 12 week scan

it was 26th October.

for a due date add on 40 weeks (although less than 5% of babies are born on their due date)

You add 7 days and 9 months to the date of your last period . Due date would be 3 July.

its ridiculous how they do it. I had irregular periods so didnt ovulate the usual 2 weeks after period but 3 weeks after, but doc still went from 1st day of last period. What if your periods were months apart?. I had date moved back like i thought it would be at scan date.
