Smear Test

A friend of mine has just said that she has never had a smear test, she says that as she has never had sex, she doesn't need one. I think that she should get one as she is 35, and there is still a risk, but she doesn't agree and the thought of having one, scares the life out of her.
Any advice please. TIAx

My opinion....if you are a virgin then you are unlikely to develop cancer of the cervix.....very unlikely.

I haven't had a smear test in over 20 years, I don't intend to ever have one either.

I regularly have mine as I have had pre cancerous cells, but I know loads of women who never go and have one.

I thought cervical cancer was 'caught' solely through the herpes virus passed on during sex so she's probably OK.
