I am on a liquid diet now with high sugar drinks included and jelly as from midnight last night until after the colonoscopy on friday. THe last time I took 4 sachets of klean prep and nothing happened. They reckon I have a lazy colon or something blocking it. I am that anxious that I have to take a premed before I go in 10mg of lorezapam over 12 hours so I will be out of my face!! Im obviously being taken there and back. I might not need any more sedation. Im sure it will have more of an effect because im on an empty stomach. I am type 2 diabetic but my blood sugars are ususally too high I will let you know how I get on.

Good luck Gordie. You do seem to be having a bit of a time of it at the moment. But believe me, I've had two colonoscopies, and it's nowhere near as bad as one might think. The first time, I just couldn't believe how simple it turned out to be. It's the lack of dignity that's the worst part of it, but the people involved understand that and will really strive to put you at your ease. There's also the possibility that your anxiety is causing things to sieze up. Try and chill out a bit, I know it's difficult, but give it your best.

All the best to you.
Good luck Gordie, both for the fast and for the proceedure.

Do your best to use Thursday as a day to relax. Gentle bath, reading, have a chat on here and an early night will all help to keep your anxiety at a lower level.

Thinking of you.
