I wouldn't recommend just going for it - the dog groomer uses thinnning scissors on my spaniel & beautiful as he is you wouldn't want to look like him!
cheers robinia, I dont want them thinking im going to do them out of a job though!
i'm tempted to have a crack (or let my gf have a crack) before I need my hair cut anyway, so in case I get in wrong then I can get it sorted anyways
Im not fussed about her not being able to do the style of it, only take the clumpiness out of it
Did you see how to do that Robinia? :D
Spray hair with a bit of water, comb, take a section of hair, start from near the roots depends how long your hair is, then cut as you move down the length of the hair. Only do a few cut at a time and check for the thickness, carry on if you need to thin more.
Dont think you need to do this in a few years time, peoples hair get thinner as they age.lol
Mine used to be thick but no more. :(
Have fun!
It will take the length off if you run it through too many times. Each section run it through the length say 2 times, made sure you move the cuts along the length ( moving the cuts along blends in the hair) then check for thickness, repeat if necessary.
Or you can run it through the whole head in sections and then go back and repeat if needed to be thinner, if you find this way easier.
Good luck.
